2008 Biennial Meeting

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 27th Biennial Meeting of the Charles Tweed International Foundation. The Congress will be held from October 17-20, 2008 in the wonderful city of Varese, Italy.

With Dr. Sandro Segù we are organizing an interesting workshop to be held on Friday, October the 17th: all day long we will able to work with Dr. Klontz to make archwires for a Class II correction and we will discuss about diagnosis and strategy of complex cases. On Saturday and Sunday the traditional meeting: we will hear and discuss about our philosophy with important speakers from the world-wide. Dr. Andre' Horn will surprise us, as usual, with a great “Merrifield lecture”.

Monday, last day of the congress, is mainly dedicated to Dr. Klontz and Dr.Vaden; they will present lectures about Class II correction and guidelines about long term stability. During the three meeting days there will be time also for the traditional “Young time” and for many other lectures: if you are interested in presenting a communication, please consider the “Call for papers” and contact Jim Ferguson, scientific chairman of the congress.

The meeting will be also the occasion for the “new members examinations” and the model display of new and old members. Located in the north of Italy, Varese is a beautiful town. Social events and congress tours will give us the opportunity to spend four unforgettable days enjoying the wonderful Italian atmosphere and the specialities of the area. The location of the Congress is a marvelous palace of the 1700's, restored with all the modern comforts, just a few kilometres from Varese, Lake Maggiore and the Swiss border, and within easy reach of the new Milan trade fair facilities and Malpensa Airport. The program of our 2008 Biennial Meeting has great promise. I hope that you will join us for spirited discussions and major presentations about the most important current and emerging topics in our discipline.
