Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 28th Biennial Meeting of the Charles H. Tweed International Foundation. The meeting will be held from October 22 -25, 2010 in our hometown of Tucson, Arizona, at the Westin La Paloma Resort. You will need to click on Hotel Accommodations to make your room reservation by September 22.

Dr. Ken Rowan and I are organizing what I hope will be an interesting meeting for all those who attend. On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday we will hear from many international speakers. Dr. Jim Boley will inspire us, as usual, with a great “Merrifield Lecture”. Each day of lectures will include new and interesting information. Many case reports will be presented by some of our younger members.

On Friday afternoon the examining committee will look at case reports for those who desire to become Fellows. The model display room will be located near the lecture room and will be open each day of the meeting from early in the morning until late in the afternoon. An important part of each meeting is this case display area. All of us are to bring cases!

On a lighter side, there will be a reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres Friday evening. On Saturday morning interested spouses/guests may travel by bus to the historic St. Xavier (The Spanish Mission) and then on the Tubac for lunch and shopping. We will be at the Foundation for camaraderie and a Mexican dinner on Saturday night. A bus will be provided for this Saturday night function for those who do not wish to drive. Sunday night will feature the President’s Dinner at the Westin La Paloma. We will honor some special people and then dance the night away to a rock and roll band.

I hope you will join us in Tucson for what promises to be a very exciting meeting. Please complete the Meeting Registration form and mail a copy, along with your payment, to Dr. Vaden’s office at your earliest convenience. Also, be sure to make your hotel reservation at the Westin La Paloma before September 22. We hope to see you there!
